W. Anthony Turner – Principal
FTT was co-founded by W. Anthony Turner, who has 33 years experience in the investment services industry. In March 2013, Turner was awarded several patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for Financial Tracking’s solutions and technology related to the investments industry overall.
Prior to starting FTT in 1999, Mr. Turner worked with The BISYS Group Inc. (NYSE: BSG) the leading financial technology services provider to more than 15,000 financial institutions. While there he served as Managing Director for the investment services line of business for the Eastern US and supervisory principal for 11 fund distribution companies, including President of Chase Manhattan’s Vista Fund Distributors, Inc., President of the joint venture between Capital Group Companies and Long Term Credit Bank of Japan and President of Morgan Stanley’s MAS Funds. He was responsible for several integrations of operations, client services and sales initiatives due to acquisitions in his region. He later designed and implemented a new business development strategy that delivered one of the largest outsourcing relationships ever for BISYS and was sourced from a new target segment. Turner is a two-time recipient of the chairman’s summit sphere award.
He has been a panelist or keynote speaker at a number of financial services industry conferences including those sponsored by the Investment Company Institute, Institutional Investor, the Investment Adviser Association, the American Bankers Association (Securities Sales Managers’ Conference), National Regulatory Services, the Public Securities Association, the Securities Industry Association, and International Business Conference’s 6 th Annual Conference on Investment Management M&A. Mr. Turner has also served as an Advisory Board Member to the American Bankers Association’s Trust and Investment Management conference. He is frequently quoted in The Wall Street Journal, IA Week, Fox Business News, The New York Times, Greenwich Time, Bloomberg News and the American Banker. Previous employers include Bank of America Capital Markets and Putnam Investments, among others.
He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in finance and also successfully completed the Leadership at the Peak Program conducted by the Center for Creative Leadership.
Dennis Corso – Managing Director Global Support Services
Mr. Corso has over 35 years experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining FTT, he spent 16 years with RBC Capital Markets, the last 12 as Director of New York Operations.
Responsible for a team of seventy at RBC, Mr. Corso provided comprehensive operational support for the proprietary equity arbitrage business, fixed income and institutional equity trading businesses, as well as wealth management and correspondent clearing. Partnering with business heads globally, he helped identify best practices for integrating new products and business lines into the current operational structure. He was also instrumental in developing and implementing numerous internal controls around trade capture and settlement, cash, operating and suspense account reconciliation as well intra-group and intra-company balancing and reporting.
Prior to his tenure at RBC, Mr. Corso held management positions at such other notable firms as GE Capital, where he was responsible for the operational oversight of one of GE’s proprietary money market funds and Kidder Peabody, where he managed the group accountable for the distribution and collection of all income payments for both customers and the firm.
He attended Adelphi University, and during his tenure at GE Capital took part in Six Sigma Black Belt Quality Training. Mr. Corso has also attained the FINRA Series 27 License – Financial and Operations Principal.
Aaron S. Cohen – Senior Technology Officer
Mr. Cohen has over 30 years experience managing software development in a wide span of industries, including financial services, consulting and telecom.
Mr. Cohen started his professional career at AT&T Bell Laboratories in the UNIX System Development organization developing and managing the development of operating system, database, transaction processing and text processing software. He then moved to an AT&T and EDS joint venture managing large-scale systems integration projects, and his sixteen-year AT&T career culminated with his managing the largest of four regional contract software development centers. After leaving AT&T, Mr. Cohen joined a startup Software Systems consulting company (eventually bought by Computer Horizons Corp.) and led practices in software development, enterprise management and business process management, among others.
He graduated from Brown University with Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Computer Science.
Les Corvington, CISA – Chief Security Officer
Mr. Corvington has 34 years’ IT experience across multiple industries including financial services, banking, manufacturing, professional services and consulting. His areas of expertise are software development and security.
Mr. Corvington began his professional career with Olin Corporation in the Information Technology Audit division where his responsibilities included ensuring that all systems and infrastructure adhered to company and industry best practices for development and security. Mr. Corvington then moved to Burger King Corporation where he managed the Information Technology Audit function and eventually the Technology Quality Assurance and data security group. After leaving Burger King, Mr. Corvington was employed by a major Miami based financial institution to manage the application and technology platform conversion for over 540 retail branches. Mr. Corvington has also worked with Coopers and Lybrand and, prior to Financial Tracking Technologies, LLC, served as the Director of Information Technology for a multibillion dollar New York-based Hedge Fund of Funds for 15 years.
He graduated from Ecole Speciale Robin with a Bachelors Degree in Information Systems and also completed Certificate Studies for Information Systems at McGill University.
Mr. Corvington is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
Merle E. Yoder – Principal and Client Services Consultant
Mr. Yoder has 28 years experience in financial data and technology and prior to Financial Tracking, completed 19 years of service with FactSet Research Systems Inc (NYSE:FDS). FactSet Research Systems Inc. is a leading provider of global financial and economic information, including fundamental data on tens of thousands of companies worldwide. Founded in 1978, Mr. Yoder was the fifth employee at the company. Today, FactSet integrates financial data from more than 100 separate databases to form a data library that allows users to search, download, and manipulate data as if from a single database. FactSet’s client list includes more than 900 of the largest financial institutions worldwide, both on the “buy side” and the “sell side” of the financial community.
While at FactSet, Mr. Yoder held a variety of positions during his career including Software Engineer, Managing Director, FactSet Limited- Europe , and Director of Business Development.
He graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
